Pierre Lissope

Software Engineer · Growth & Product

Hey, I'm Pierre, a software engineer based in Paris.

Ex-founding engineer at Benchbee. I'm a product-minded builder who cares about the “why” just as much as the “how”, and I'm always looking to learn something new.

My approach is simple: ask the right questions and write clean code.

BenchbeeOct 2024 – Sep 2026Founding Engineer

Freelance, then equity partner · benchbee.io

Started as the only engineer and built the technical foundations alone. Then hired and led the team as the company scaled.

  • The only engineer at first, owning architecture, reliability and security in production, then hiring, onboarding and leading the engineering team on the foundations I had laid, with the final call on architecture and incidents. Shaped the product roadmap with the CEO and CMO, based on customer feedback.
  • Led a zero-downtime re-architecture of the entire backend in three months, consolidating a fragmented serverless Python / DynamoDB stack into a single TypeScript platform (NestJS, Fastify, ECS, PostgreSQL). Built the entire frontend in parallel (React, React Query).
  • Built the entire deployment pipeline from the ground up: infrastructure as code, containerized services, CI/CD, automated migrations and rollbacks. Cut deploy time by 8×, making it possible to test an idea in production the same day.
  • Instrumented the activation funnel to pinpoint where users dropped off, then redesigned onboarding around those findings with a UX expert.
  • Moved the product to an event-driven architecture, with every key user action emitting an event, letting the growth team trigger email sequences from combinations of signals rather than a single one.
ZenaskFeb 2026 – Aug 2026Founder & Software Engineer

Own company, run in parallel

An AI SaaS launched solo, from first commit to paying customers in six months.

  • Architected, built and shipped an AI-native sales-automation platform: LLM-orchestrated conversation engine, intent scoring, automated lead qualification, native CRM, and handoff to a human at the right moment.
  • Ran product, infrastructure and production single-handedly, along with the entire go-to-market: pricing, paid acquisition, sales and customer success.
CryptioAug 2024 – Aug 2026Software Engineer, Core Financials & DeFi

Internship (Aug – Dec 2024), then fixed-term contract · cryptio.co

The financial core of a crypto-backed lending product, where a single calculation error costs real money.

  • Engineered the core financial engine of a crypto-lending product in Rust (interest accruals, repayments, LTV, dynamic loan schedules), showing at any moment exactly what each borrower owes and whether their collateral still covers the loan.
  • Designed a high-throughput on-chain prediction and reconciliation engine (tens of millions of transactions), anticipating every loan event and automatically reconciling it with the matching transaction on the blockchain.
  • Migrated the loan microservice from gRPC to REST with zero downtime (Axum, progressive rollout) to reduce coupling between services and simplify frontend integration.
PoC Innovation2024 – 2025President, Head of Software

Student association, Epitech · github.com/PoCInnovation

PoC is Epitech's student innovation lab. I ran its software division.

  • Mentored the engineers, reviewing architectures and supporting teams across multiple technical projects.
  • Managed client projects end to end: prospecting, proposals, developer recruitment, staffing and delivery.
